The SEFOR, the annual training workshop that gathers public Francophone radio and TV stations, took place recently in Mahé (Seychelles). The main focus has been to balance the ratio of males to females in audiovisual companies. At the end of the meeting, the CIRTEF general assembly appointed a woman as its Chairperson: Mrs Marie Danielle Bougaïre-Zangreyanogho, the CEO of Burkinabe Radio and Television (RTB), who is the successor to François Guilbeau, CEO of the France 3 network. Danielle Bougaïre, 53, a former journalist, was a teacher at the Ouagadougou university. She graduated with the Ph.D topic: “The Communicative Approach of Awareness Campaigns in Burkina: The Case of Excision, Family Planning and AIDS.” Danielle Bougaïre was made CEO of the RTB in February 2014, following the burkinabe revolution.
