In a drive to promote future VOD services by subscription, Apple is looking to secure exclusive content which they would generate or even buy. With Apple Music, Tim Cook wants to outsmart Spotify and he could well succeed in this move according to some analysts. Henceforth, he hopes to go after the giant omnipresent Netflix.
According to the website TheStreet, Apple’s top executives have been probing Hollywood’s creative minds for months now to discuss the production of content for the brand’s customers. This is not the first time we are hearing this rumor given that the issue was raised last September. However, things now seem to be taking a decisive turn. Still according to the US media, the official announcement could be made during the exhibition of the iPhone 7, scheduled to take place at the start of the next academic year.
