(Ecofin Agency) – In Kenya, Nation TV (NTV), the Nation Media Group’s TV channel, is launching a reality show during which entrepreneurs can gain funding for their businesses or business projects. The TV programme is funded by the youth fund of the Kenya Commercial Bank.
NTV baptized its reality show “Lion’s Den”. It is modelled after the programme “Shark Tank” aired in the United States by ABC TV channel. The concept is successful and each episode harvesting an audience of 6 million viewers.
The Kenyan version of the programme will enable entrepreneurs to present their ideas and projects to people with funds, the aim being to get funding. The programme will be launched in September and will be broadcast once a week.
“This is the prototype of content we have always wanted to offer our viewers. This is an engaging content, informative, entertaining and useful in everyday life,” says the general manager of the audiovisual department of Nation Media Group, Linus Kaikai.
