The call for participation launched by the Association of filmmakers “Project’Heurts” in anticipation of the 14th Film Forum Bejaia to be held from 3 to 9 September 2016, was warmly received. In just two days, the organizers have already received twenty films, according to Lilia Aoudj, one of the facilitators of the association who kindly answered questions from Algeria Time.
The Algeria Time: On the closing of last year’s forum, you said that you will be working on the14th right away. How far have you gone?
Lilia Aoudj: Yes indeed. Right after we made the review of the 13th forum, we embarked on preparatory activities for the 14th encounter. And I can assure you that the echoes are more favorable to the call for participation that we launched last January 25, given that only two days after the call, we received twenty films. We hope, to hit our target by June 12, which is the deadline for sending projects.
The Algeria Time: Is there any particular theme for this year’s festival?
Lilia Aoudj: No. But there is always a healthy dose of coherence in the shortlisting process.
