Q. Where is the African audiovisual market?
The African audiovisual market is really taking off. We see a lot of initiatives on the continent and we are often approached by very ambitious projects. It is likely that some of these projects won’t succeed, but its vitality is a good indicator of the attractiveness of the market, and its unfulfilled demand. For us, it shows that we have a workable proposal.
Q. Do you believe in VoD related to black culture in Africa ? According which models?
The necessity to replay content exists worldwide. In Africa, the market went forward from the physical media, straight to the digital press. Expectations in terms of market are thus high. The chosen model will be the one that will consider African means of payment and tailored price plans for the middle-class, which includes free content with ads.
